Cell service for new Apple Ulta 2watch, not supported by T-Mobile

I just bought a new Apple Ulta 2 watch from Best Buy. I tried to activate cell service through T-Mobile. I have cellular service for my iPhones from T-Mobile. T-Mobile tells me that my new Apple Ulta 2 watch is not supported by T-Mobile and that I should buy an “upgraded model” . I called Apple support and didn’t receive any help from them either.

I would suggest you take your Ultra 2 to a T-Mobile store and ask them to set up the cellular connection. T-Mobile has supported the Apple Watch since day one. You were fed a line of baloney by the T-Mobile rep your spoke with to get rid of you.


But KiltedTim asks a very pertinent question. If you are wanting to use any Apple Watch without having or being paired to an iPhone that's simply not possible.
