My USB-C external hard drives no longer mount on MacBook Pro

My USBC external hard drives no longer mount on my MacBook Pro. I'm on Monterey 12.7.6 They are mac formatted and have been working all along. They work on a different Apple laptop. Have run DiscUtility to no avail.

Getting a Drive to be Seen:

A. Disk Utility in Recovery Mode:

Booting in Recovery Mode, go to Disk Utility, and then see if you can mount the drive from there.

B. Single-Out this User:

Create another Administrator user (not a guest user), seeing if it then works. IF so, then it is an issue with your current user. If not, then it is an issue with your entire Mac --perhaps a hardware issue.

Is Energy Saver put hard drives to sleep option turned on?

Have you tried to plug in the hard drive to its own power source?

What is the other Apple laptop running?

Is there anything links to the MacBook Pro that depends on the MacBook Pro for power over USB-C that might draw too much power for the drive to be seen?
