New Canon MG2551S printer printing text upside down and reversed on iMac

Hi, I have just got & installed a Canon MG series printer, i have had one before connected to the same Mac as i still have. For some reason it will only print in mirror image, I have tried printing from Word & Pages & the result is the same. The text on screen starts from the top left as you would expect but when it prints, the text is at the bottom of the page going right to left. I have reinstalled the drives, i have been through all the print settings & i cant figure it out, i am loosing my mind! Any help will be appreciated :)
