Finder Sync - Some Photos from Mac Photos Albums Not Appearing in iPhone Albums

Hi everyone.

I have a strange problem with the finder sync of Photos albums (10.0 - 760.6.150) from Mac (Sequoia 15.5) to iPhone (iOS 18.5).

The albums on iPhone contain fewer photos than those in the respective Photos albums.

NOTE: I sync via Finder (no iCloud!) only some selected albums from the Mac system library.

By disabling photo sync and reactivating it from Finder, the problem reappears but different photos are missing than before!

All photos on Mac have been correctly imported into the Mac library and are in supported format.

I can't figure it out.

Has anyone ever had this problem? How did you solve it?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 18

You know, USB Finder "syncing" has always been flaky, and it seems to be getting worse. You can let Apple know what you think here:

I use iCloud. I keep most of my pictures in an Archive Library on my Mac, and I use a smaller Favorites Library on my Mac to synchronize with my iPhone and iPad. Having two Photos Libraries lets me use less iCloud Space as well as keeping only the good stuff for sharing with friends and family.
