macOS 15.5 (24F74) - Unable to modify keyboard shortcuts for Zoom in Accessibility settings

Hi all,

After upgrading to macOS 15.8, I noticed the toggle zoom shortcut has changed to Cmd + Option + 8, and it appears to be non-configurable.

Based on the Apple Support page, it seems this shortcut can no longer be customized:

I am vision-impaired and use this shortcut very frequently. Any ideas on how to change it? If it’s not possible, I hope Apple makes it configurable in a future release.

Thanks.

Thank you for your suggestion. Previously, I used Toggle Zoom to quickly zoom in on content, then used a modifier key + scrolling to further magnify specific areas of interest. To return to the normal view, Toggle Zoom allowed me to zoom out instantly, which was incredibly efficient. Without Toggle Zoom, I now have to use the modifier key + scrolling to zoom out, which is functional but slower and more cumbersome for me
