I am trying to export my photos and videos from my iCloud to an external hard drive. I have exported around half the media however for the remaining I keep getting the following error 'unknown error (-1)'. Has anyone encountered this and if so how did you fix it?

How many are you trying to download at once? Certainly over 1000 at a time is too many. If you're trying thousands at once, try downloading in smaller batches. I think 1000 is the limit, but it may be better to use small groups.

Try using a different cable or hard drive. If the issue still persists, try contacting Apple Support by phone or iMessage.
