Dynamic Island cycling bug

When I launch multiple live activities at the same time (music, timer for example) and I swipe right, it hides the music activity as it should and focuses instead on the timer. When I swipe again, even the timer goes away, but if I try to swipe back(or keep going in the same direction as before) it only brings back the timer, not the music. I can only get back the other activity if I swipe up, at which point both live activities show up as they naturally were.

From what it looks like, swiping to the left registers as a right swipe and the up swipe registers as a left swipe?

I’ve found out that it’s not a bug, apparently I’m using it wrong. Swiping right to hide the main activity works fine from either end of the dynamic island, but swiping the other way only works if you do it from the right side(or the middle)

Edit: turns out it's even more intricate. Where you start the gesture from changes what it does entirely. It can be the difference between changing which activity is the one in focus and hiding the second one entirely
