How do I prevent iPod from changing sleep program and resetting every night?

I was having trouble with my iPod and tech support had me purchase iTunes Match saying that would solve my problem. It didn't. I use my iPod to listen to a specific sleep program every night, and the iPod does not hold the program in place. It, on its own, brings up another song or album. I have to reset it every night to the songs I want. Even if I set it, and don't use it, the next night it will have been replaced by something else. It's ridiculous.

Like muguy, I too don't really follow what you're saying. But I also don't understand how iTunes Match would "solve" anything.

What do you mean by "program"? If you mean a Playlist, then how many songs are in the Playlist and what exactly do you mean by the iPod does not hold the program in place? If you mean that when you use the Playlist the following night, it starts from the beginning of the Playlist rather than continuing from where it stopped before, then if you use the iPod to play something else, that sounds like expected behaviour.

What you can do is set a song to play from where you left off the previous time it was played. That's known as Remember playback position. It can be used on any song and that position is remembered even if you play something else in between. Is that what you mean?

Even if I set it, and don't use it, the next night it will have been replaced by something else.

How are you "setting it", what are you doing?

How do I prevent iPod from changing sleep program and resetting every night?
