How to resolve 'The Cloud Music Library can't be loaded' error (4010) with Apple Music on M4 Mac Mini?

I currently subscribe to Apple Music and I also have a grandfathered Apple Match subscription that allows me to load my own music into my music cloud. Everything’s been working great and worked fine yesterday morning (May 31st, 2025) and when trying to upload yesterday evening it gave the following error:

“The Cloud Music Library can’t be loaded right now. An unknown error occurred (4010)”

I searched this forum and followed the advice of signing out and back in with my account, de-authorizing and re-authoring my computer and checked that my OS was up to date. Currently I’m running Sequoia 15.5 on an Apple M4 Mini with 24GB of memory.

Again, everything was working fine in the morning but now I can’t even load my library or even access Apple Music. Kind of unhappy about this. I’ve had this machine the day they were released with no issues. Any help getting the Music app working again would be greatly appreciated. Just to add I’ve tried two different internet connections and Apple Music works fine on my iPhones…

I did a clean install of the OS on my Mac mini 2018 yesterday, and I had the exact same problem when I tried to sync AppleMusic.

I live in Japan, so considering the time difference, your problem occurred around the same time as mine.

I contacted Apple and they recommended that I turn off syncing on my iPhone and iPad and sign out, so I did that, but my iPhone and iPad, which had previously synced fine, stopped syncing with the cloud library and were stuck halfway through, and I can't sync on any device.

Apple Support has not provided a solution.

For now, if your iPhone sync is working fine, it seems best not to change it.

Thanks for the reply. I spoke with Apple Support as well later on after my post and they said they believed it was an error on their end. My cloud library isn’t loading or syncing but the representative I spoke with said some users couldn’t access the App Store. I thought I was going crazy since it’s worked so well in the past. At least I’m not the only one having problems with it. Hopefully they’ll have a fix for it soon. Thanks again for the reply..
