Apollo Twin will no longer play Final Cut 11.1 audio but will play MP4s, etc. How fix?

To try and fix this, I have uninstalled Universal Audio and reinstalled it on the Apollo Twin UA2 Solo Core in my MacStudio. The UAD Meter and Control Panel displays blue (vs red), but still no audio from Final Cut. Over a week ago, I was in touch with a service rep from Universal Audio, but I have not been able to contact him again. I recall I was supposed to install a plug in to the UAD Control Panel, but the rep was going to tell me which one, but never did.

Meanwhile it takes Final Cut a long time to open as it says it is "validating audio units" while perhaps 50-60 UA plug-in names show up changing one to another.

Any guidance is a help!

Yeah, this sounds like an Apollo issue. Have you verified that you can see it in System Settings > Sound > Output? And yes, FCP should only show the Audio Unit scan if a new AU plugin has been installed. Otherwise, you have a bad plugin.

Thank you, Ben. I much appreciate your responding. Yes I can see "Universal Audio Thunderbolt" "PCI Card" under "Sound" and "Output".

So then I must have a bad plug-in. I don't know what's going on with Universal Audio. The last response I got from their service desk was well over a week ago. Since then I have emailed them repeatedly with no answer. Meanwhile I can't edit on FCP!

Start a whole new ticket with UA. I dunno. But I'd keep on them non-stop until I got a reply.
