Apple Pay transaction declining but taking the funds

My 6yo received $10 in Apple cash and tried to purchase a gift card (mind you I've done this many times). the transaction declined but the funds were still taken. Has anyone had a similar issue?

A 6 year old? That may be a big part of the issue. Legally 6 year olds are not permitted to use an electronic wallet per federal banking regulations. Try contacting an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank.
