Need to replace a corrupted QuickTime app that will no longer open.

As default apps are protected, the issue is likely with a separate support file (.plist, etc), or a conflicting/​interfering app.

What symptoms are you experiencing? Why do you think something is corrupted? What happens when you try to open the QuickTime Player app?

It's not available individually. If the issue is with the application itself, instead of a preference or other file in your home folder, reinstall the OS.
