apple never responded and just kept all my money

We were victims of a scam. Apple immediately was notified and cancelled the cards. Initial support person stated our funds would be returned within 10 days. We sent them documentation 4 different times and each time were told to send the same proof again. Now they have 1350 of my dollars and I have none. CARDS WERE CANCELLED BY APPLE!!

We need to understand what happened and you’re not answering questions.


Apple Card is a credit card on the Mastercard network and issued by Goldman Sachs Bank. Is that what the scammers used, yes or no?


Apple Gift Cards are purchased through retailers and can only be used for purchase of Apple products and services. Is that what the scammers used, yes or no?

Sorry spam are the notification. We had purchased three apple gift cards. Discovered immediately, like within 10 minutes it was a scam of the person using us to pay him via apple cards. We called support and they cancelled all three cards then sent us a link to send the receipts and pics of the physical cards, which we did. I've actually sent them 5 times. The very first person said since we discovered it so quickly she was able to cancel the cards before the scammer used the funds so we would get our money back. Fast forward 4 months, since this happened in January, I spoke with a senior supervisor yesterday who had me resend the photos to escalate the issue. So....still waiting.

I agree with Kurt. Four months is way too long. Did the Senior Supervisor (Advisor) set any expectations as to a time frame? Do you have a case number?


In future conversations with Apple, please use the term “gift card” or Apple Gift Card. Apple Card is specifically a credit card and it may lead to confusion among the support team and caused confusion here. Why, you posted in the Apple Card credit card community and we didn’t understand what exactly you were referring to. 😀
